Canadian High Commissioner travels in East-West Metro

Chris Cooter, High Commissioner of Canada in India travelled in East-West Metro under the river Hooghly, today. He along with his team of officials of the Canada High Commission accompanied by senior officials of the Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation Limited travelled up to Howrah station from New Esplanade station.

According to the city Metro office, the High Commissioner was visibly pleased seeing the arrangements of the underwater Metro. Officers of Metro Railway and KMRCL briefed him about the East-West Metro construction methods like tunnel boring and so along with the engineering challenges they had faced during the execution of this underwater Metro project.
